Spotify Playlist Promotion FAQ
Straight answers about playlist placements, curators, streams, campaign delivery and pricing.
Are these real Spotify playlists?
Yes. The service is based on public Spotify playlists managed by independent human curators. The objective is to place your music in playlists that already have a real identity, musical direction and audience rather than fabricate exposure through fake playlist screenshots or bot-generated stream packages. Playlist size can vary, and follower count alone is not our selection criterion: relevance to the track and credible playlist context are more important.
Are placements guaranteed?
The campaign quantity you purchase is the number of placements we work to fulfill. No individual curator is forced to accept a track: each curator remains free to decide whether a release fits the sound, mood and audience of their playlist. If a curator declines or a playlist is not a suitable match, outreach continues with other relevant curators. This lets us focus on completing the campaign without treating curator approval as something that can simply be bought.
Do curators get paid to accept my track?
No. Our service fee covers the work behind the campaign: curator discovery, playlist research, matching, outreach, follow-up and fulfillment. Curators independently decide whether a track belongs on their playlist; payment for the service does not purchase a curator’s approval. This separation matters because the aim is to find placements based on musical fit rather than pay someone to say yes to a song they would not otherwise select.
Do you guarantee streams?
No. We guarantee neither a specific stream count nor a specific number of listeners. A playlist placement creates an opportunity for discovery, but actual listening depends on factors such as the playlist’s active audience, the position of the track, how long listeners stay with the playlist, skip behavior and the appeal of the song itself. Two placements of similar size can therefore produce very different results. We prefer to be clear about that rather than advertise an artificial stream estimate that cannot be responsibly guaranteed.
Do you use bots or artificial streams?
No. This product is playlist placement, not artificial streaming. We do not sell bot plays, automated listeners or manufactured engagement as part of these campaigns. The purpose of the service is to connect music with independently managed playlists where it is a relevant fit. Because listener behavior remains organic and outside our control, we do not promise fixed play counts or attempt to manufacture statistics after a placement goes live.
How do you choose playlists?
We prioritize genre, subgenre, mood, language, audience fit and the overall context of the playlist. A large follower number by itself does not make a playlist useful: relevance matters, and a smaller well-matched playlist can make more sense for a release than a larger but unrelated one. We therefore look for playlists where the track feels credible alongside the surrounding music, rather than simply chasing the biggest headline number.
How long does a campaign take?
Estimated campaign completion times are approximately 3 days for 12 placements, 7 days for 24 placements, and 10 days for 36 placements. These are indicative timeframes rather than fixed deadlines. Because each placement depends on real curator review and an independent acceptance decision, the amount of outreach required can vary from one campaign to another. If more curator outreach than usual is needed to complete the purchased number of placements, the campaign may take slightly longer.
How long will my track stay in a playlist?
There is no fixed placement duration. Our campaigns use independently managed playlists, and each curator remains in control of their playlist, including when tracks are added, reordered or removed. Placement duration can therefore vary according to the curator’s update schedule, the playlist’s format and normal editorial rotation. This variability is part of working with real playlists rather than manufactured placements.
Can labels, managers or agencies order?
Yes. Campaigns can be ordered directly by artists or by labels, managers, agencies and other professionals working on an artist’s behalf. You simply need to provide the correct Spotify track and the information needed for us to understand the release and target appropriate playlists. This also makes the service suitable for teams managing several releases, since campaigns can be purchased according to the scale required for each track.
Why is Playlist Placements cheaper than many promotion services?
Because the service is intentionally focused. We are not bundling PR retainers, social-media management, influencer outreach, advertising and consulting into the same fee. The product is playlist campaign coordination and placement fulfillment, so you pay for a clearly defined service rather than a large promotional package containing activities you may not need. Keeping the process specialized also allows campaigns to scale according to the number of placements required.
Is PlaylistPlacements.com affiliated with Spotify?
No. PlaylistPlacements.com is an independent music promotion service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Spotify. We work with Spotify playlist promotion because it is one of the principal ways listeners discover music, but we operate independently from the platform. Spotify remains in control of its own service, policies and algorithms, and Spotify is a trademark of Spotify AB.
